Nutritional Deficiency Testing & Oligoscan
When healing your body from the inside out, physical fitness can only go so far. Nutritional deficiencies, chemical imbalances or toxicity in the body, can all hold you back in everyday life, making you feel run down and tired. At ProBack Clinics we offer our patients the Oligoscan, a photometric testing device that measures the amount of essential vitamins, minerals and heavy metal toxicity in the tissues of your body.
How does the Oligoscan work?
After entering your basic patient information into the computer, the Oligoscan is held in various areas of your palm. It will then identify the density of minerals using electromagnetic signals. The Oligoscan is an ideal nutrition test alternative to blood or hair testing, which can be seen as more unstable types of testing. Within a few seconds, you’ll be able to see your results and we can make nutritional recommendations about what supplements may be best for you, and if any form of chelation therapy (liver detoxicification) could be beneficial.
What does the Oligoscan test for?
The Oligoscan is able to identify vitamin and mineral deficiencies or excesses, as well as heavy metals in your tissues, including:
Supplementation at Proback Clinics
Following the results of the Oligoscan, we’ll be able to see any vitamin and mineral deficiencies or toxicities that may need to be fixed in the body to see an improvement in physical health.
At Proback, we sell a variety of high quality supplements, just another way we endeavour to improve your overall health. We offer a line of food state vitamin supplements, made completely from whole food. These supplements are absorbed at about 90% as opposed to the 10-20% absorption rate of synthetic supplements.
On top of this, we also offer liposomal supplements by Quicksilver and UK based Nutri-Link supplements. These high quality, pharmaceutical grade supplements need either a prescription or a recommendation from one of our practitioners to buy them.
What is the Oligoscan?
The Oligoscan is a type of nutrition test, it uses photometric testing to measure the amount of certain compounds in the tissues. From there, it can analyse whether your body is deficient or in excess of the various compounds.
Do you test for vitamin deficiency?
The Oligoscan does test for vitamin and mineral deficiency. It analyses the levels of compounds such as:
Calcium, Manganese, Sodium, Iodine, Selenium, Germanium, Chromium, Iron, Zinc, Potassium, Lithium, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Silicon, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Copper, Sulphur, Boron and Vanadium.
Do you offer toxicology tests?
The Oligoscan also tests for heavy metal toxicity in the body, testing for the levels of the following chemical compounds:
Aluminium, Platinum, Mercury, Bismuth, Barium, Silver, Lead, Nickel, Cadmium, Beryllium, Arsenic and Thallium.
How long does it take to get the results?
The Oligoscan only takes a few seconds to scan your palm; and then the results are available almost instantly. Your appointment with us will last half an hour, so we can do the test and go through the results with you, including any recommendations for supplementation. Your blood type will be needed for the test, but if you don’t know your blood type we can test this during the appointment.
